Inside Sales Manager

Hours: 7am – 4:30pm (Mon-Fri)

JOB SUMMARY

\n

Manufacturers Reserve Supply (MRS) is seeking a Manager to oversee our Inside Sales Team & ensure that we provide unparalleled customer service and support to our customer base. As a leader in the Building Materials Industry for over 95 years, we need a candidate with strong leadership skills to ensure our Inside Sales Team is the “best of the best”. The candidate must possess a strong eye for detail, have an ability to manage multiple priorities at one time & be self-driven. This role is about building a team, delivering customer service that our customers can’t find anywhere else, and solving problems with confidence and a positive attitude. This position will report directly to the President & will assist in implementing new ideas & processes that strengthen MRS’s impact in our territory.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Build a great team. Coach, mentor, train, and motivate a team of five, creating a supportive collaborative culture with growth in knowledge and skills.
\n
• Deliver the best customer service. Set the standard for every customer interaction and make sure every call leaves the customer feeling valued and taken care of.
\n
• Bring positive energy. Lead by example with an upbeat, can-do attitude that keeps the team focused and engaged.
\n
• Solve problems. Make clear, timely decisions on customer issues and pricing, and find creative solutions when challenges come up.
\n
• Grow the business. Expand customer relationships, increase average order size through cross-selling and add-on materials, and help develop new business opportunities. 
\n
• Partner across teams. Work closely with our Outside Sales Team, Operations, Purchasing and other departments to close business and keep orders and deliveries running smoothly.
\n
• Online Sales: Manage our online ordering systems and processes.  Help with specialty store portals and simplify processes.
\n
• Dispatch and Transportation: Work closely with dispatch for timely and productive deliveries.
\n
• Keep the team sharp. Build strong product knowledge across the team, and lead monthly sales meetings.
\n
• Strategic Thinking. Look for new opportunities for development, new processes and sales.
\n
• Stay informed. Keep an eye on market conditions and competitors, and make sure the team's work reflects MRS's mission, vision, and culture.
\n
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
\n

\n

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

\n

·        Minimum of 3+ years related experience in Customer Service/Sales

\n

·        Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership/management capacity overseeing at least two employees

\n

·        Proficiency of MS Office/Excel and experience using ERP/ Inventory Management systems

\n

·        Must possess a high attention to detail and have a professional and polished phone demeanor

\n

·        A positive, energetic personality and a genuine passion for developing people.

\n

·     Excellent time management and organizational skills, must be a team player, have a collaborative

\n

personality and excellent written and oral communication skills

\n

·        Must be able to learn quickly and be self-motivated

\n

·        Prior experience within the building materials industry is preferred but not required

\n

·        Knowledge of transportation, logistics or truck dispatching a plus

\n

 

\n

EDUCATION

\n

·        Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

\n

·        Bachelor’s Degree a plus

\n

·        Must possess a strong aptitude for Algebra and Mathematics

\n

\n

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

\n

·        While performing the duties of this job, the employee can expect prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a telephone and computer

\n

·        The employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear; stand frequently; walk; use hands to finger, feel and handle objects; and reach with hands and arms

\n

·        Must be able to reach, bend and pull in order to access filing cabinet drawers, storage spaces and operate copy machines

\n

·        Must have the manual dexterity to file and use a computer keyboard, calculator and telephone

\n

·        May occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 lbs.

\n
